Employee Indirect taxes (sales tax)

Banks and Insurance Jobs is looking for an Emloyee Indirect Taxes (sales tax) to join our client’s team!

Requirements
▪ Experience in taxes, finance, accounting or law – ideally with a focus on sales tax
▪ German at a native language level as well as very good English skills in spoken and written language
▪ Strong communication and consulting skills (written, telephone, personal)
▪ Structured, reliable working methods – even under time pressure and with complex tasks
▪ High level of personal responsibility, organizational talent and teamwork skills
▪ Experience or interest in international e-commerce and online retail
▪ Knowledge of EU tax law and reporting obligations (e.g. B. OSS, VAT ID, Intrastat)

Tasks & Responsibilities
▪ Support and advice for an international client portfolio on VAT obligations and strategies
▪ Preparation and timely submission of European VAT returns, EC sales and Intrastat declarations
▪ Consulting on the processing of taxable transactions in e-commerce and B2B
▪ Communication with tax authorities across Europe, as well as support with audits and inquiries
▪ Proactive reminder of deadlines and support with payment dates
▪ Cooperation with the credit control department to monitor customer accounts
▪ Ongoing monitoring of legislative changes in value added tax law and their implementation in practice
▪ Participation in internal improvement processes as well as training and mentoring of new team members
▪ Representation of the company at webinars, events and customer meetings
