Fiduciary and Complex Account Manager (40 views)

The role of a Fiduciary and Complex Accounts Manager is to be an expert in all aspects of accounts relating to Business, Trusts, Retirement (IRA), Health Savings Accounts, Power of Attorney, deceased member procedures, and any other specialty account group offered by the Credit Union. This will be a support role for the retail staff and will act as a liaison between member-facing employees and Compliance to ensure that all internal and regulatory guidelines are followed during opening, servicing, and closing any of these account types.

Responsibilities:
– Maintains expert working knowledge of regulatory guidelines and procedures on all Fiduciary and Complex account types, including Business/Commercial, Trust, POA, IRA, HSA, Estate, Representative Payee, Guardianship, UTMA, and Deceased Accounts to ensure compliance.

– Assists the AVP of Compliance with research and processing of subpoenas, BSA documentation, garnishments, and routine regulatory compliance reviews.

– Reviews annual year end reports from core service provider to ensure correct data is reported to IRS.

– Works with Training department to ensure training material for Fiduciary and Complex Accounts is up to date and participates in Fiduciary and Complex Accounts Training courses, occasionally as an instructor.

– Stays up to date on industry trends and provides recommendations to AVP of Compliance for updates and changes to processes and procedures regarding Fiduciary and Complex Accounts. Ensures ongoing identification of industry trends in products and services to update senior management on potential new service opportunities.

– Provides product support and responds to retail inquiries and provides feedback on coaching needs regarding Fiduciary and Complex Account handling.

– Works diplomatically with other departments to be a source of information and guidance on all processes, procedures and systems associated with Fiduciary and Complex Accounts.

– Acts as an administrator for some systems that require access from frontline staff pertaining to Fiduciary and Complex Accounts.

– Responsible for administering the Required Minimum Distributions to IRA members and verifies year-end tax forms.

– Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
– Ten years to fifteen years of similar or related experience

– (1) A bachelor’s degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor’s degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).

– Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. The ability to coach and deliver feedback is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job.

– Must have good communication skills. 10-key calculator, typewriter, and keyboard skills.

Pay: $65,692.00 – $85,039.00 per year
