Head, Operations Unit (36 views)

Job Purpose: 

  • The Head of Operations is responsible for the strategic leadership and efficient management of the firm’s operational functions, with a core focus on supporting Capital MarketsFixed Income, and Mutual Fund businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely trade execution, matching, confirmation, and settlement.
  • Coordinate with exchanges, clearing houses, and counterparties.
  • Manage processing and settlement of government and corporate bond transactions.
  • Monitor interest payments, redemptions, and pricing validations.
  • Supervise the processing of fund subscriptions and redemptions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate posting of funds.
  • Evaluate and implement workflow tools, data management solutions, and trade reconciliation systems.
  • Act as a key liaison between operations and front-office teams (trading, sales, asset management).
  • Support onboarding and servicing of institutional clients, fund distributors, and issuers.
  • Resolve operational issues swiftly, maintaining high standards of service delivery.
  • Align operations strategy with business growth objectives, especially for product expansion or regulatory changes.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team with domain expertise.
  • Monitor KPIs, service level agreements, and vendor performance.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field. MBA or professional certifications (e.g., CIS, ICAN, CRM) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in investment banking operations with strong exposure to capital marketsfixed income instruments, and mutual fund operations.
  • Proven track record managing cross-functional teams, driving process improvements, and leading change.
