Responsibilities
The primary role of the Information Security Manager is to:
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and controls to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.
- Oversee and manage the information security program to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the Credit Union’s information assets.
- Work closely with the EVP/COO, IT and various departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to recover data and systems in the event of a disaster.
- Responsible for Vendor Management including risk assessments, due diligence reviews and contract management
Requirements/Skills Needed
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in information security management, preferably in the Credit Union or Financial Services industry.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of information security principles, practices, technologies, and threats.
- Experience with regulatory compliance requirements and industry standards.
- The successful candidate will have strong collaboration skills to work effectively with various stakeholders to achieve the overall goals of the credit union.
