Job Summary:
- Oversee and monitor internal control processes to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
- Identify and mitigate risks to the bank.
- Conduct audits and investigations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement internal control policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of internal controls.
- Investigate and resolve irregularities and discrepancies.
- Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Identify and assess risks to the bank and recommend mitigating controls.
- Prepare reports on internal control activities.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on internal control procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor\’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) is an added advantage.
- Proven experience in internal audit or risk management (minimum 3 years).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical and investigative skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
