Internal Control Officer (23 views)

Job Summary:

  • Oversee and monitor internal control processes to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to the bank.
  • Conduct audits and investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement internal control policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of internal controls.
  • Investigate and resolve irregularities and discrepancies.
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and assess risks to the bank and recommend mitigating controls.
  • Prepare reports on internal control activities.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on internal control procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor\’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) is an added advantage.
  • Proven experience in internal audit or risk management (minimum 3 years).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and investigative skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
