We know that work/life balance is important, so this is a full-time position participating in our IT support roster which encompasses the support hours of 7:30am – 6:30pm weekdays and occasional Saturday roster of 8am to 12:30pm.

About the role

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Providing on-site and remote IT support across multiple locations.
  • Responding to incidents and resolve technical issues for hardware and software, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Providing first and second-level helpdesk support to staff, providing comprehensive assistance for desktop hardware and software applications.
  • Deploy, configure, upgrade and support devices such as desktops, laptops, tablets, and peripherals.
  • Providing support and administration for our Microsoft platform including on-premise Active Directory, Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Endpoint Manager and Microsoft Teams.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain IT hardware and software following Standard Operating Environment (SOE) practices and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with PCU IT Policies and Procedures and participate in the IT Roster for daily and monthly operational tasks.
  • Contribute to operational improvements, monitor system performance, and seek opportunities for enhancements.
  • Manage and maintain accurate IT documentation.
  • Co-Ordinate and manage IT projects and initiatives as required.
  • Occasional inter- and intra-state travel may be required to support remote branch locations.
About you

We are looking for a confident, courteous individual with a proven ability to provide technical expertise within the IT support team.

Our ideal candidate will be experienced in managing the execution of hardware and software rollouts and upgrades and possess a sound knowledge of desktop operating systems and associated applications.

Your strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills will effectively address customer IT issues through analysis and the delivery of practical solutions.

You will have:

Experience and Certifications:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar IT role, with exposure to a broad range of technologies (essential).
  • ITIL Certification (desirable).
  • Microsoft Certification or demonstrated equivalent experience (essential).
  • TAFE or higher accreditation in an IT discipline (desirable).

Technical Skills:

  • Experience in PC, LAN, and desktop software support (essential).
  • Sound knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (essential).
  • Sound knowledge of Linux Operating Systems (desirable).
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Administration Suite (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and WSUS) (essential).
  • Solid understanding of network infrastructure and networking concepts (switches, routers, LAN, WAN, VPN). (essential)
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite (essential).
  • Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills (essential).
  • Understanding of the principles of Standard Operating Environments (SOE) (essential).
  • Experience in PC rollout techniques and SOE Maintenance. (desirable)
  • Telephony and VoIP knowledge. (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Cyber Security and Security best practices. (desirable)

Applicants with industry certifications such as CCNA and similar, or demonstrated equivalent industry experience will be highly regarded, as will those with experience with Ultradata Pty Ltd solutions and/or working in the Financial Services Industry.
