General Scope of the Role
The Member Services Officer will be accountable to the Operations Manager for carrying out a range of administrative and operational activities that contribute to the effective running of the credit union. We provide support to staff wishing to pursue further qualifications relevant to the role.
Main Purpose of the Role
The role holder is required to assist members with all aspects of Credit Union business while working as part of a team to provide support in dealing with:
- Account transactions (Teller/Cashier)
- Account queries in person, by phone, or online
- Membership applications
- Loan applications
- Ensure compliance with all financial services legislation.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Essential Competencies:
- A relevant Qualification (QFA, APA) or being prepared to study for same, would be an advantage.
- It would be an advantage to have previous Credit Union or financial organisation experience.
Desired Competencies:
- Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent administration skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong team-work ability
