Lisburn Credit Union is seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to play a key role in supporting the strategic and operational delivery of our services. This is a senior leadership role, ideal for someone with strong organisational, financial, and people management skills who is passionate about providing a high-quality member experience.
About the Role:
As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of operational functions and deputising for the CEO when required. You will oversee credit performance, administration, cash management, compliance, and staff performance while supporting innovation and service development for our members.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing operational staff performance and training.
- Manage the underwriting processes and monitor loan book performance.
- Analyse KPIs and ensure high business performance.
- Demonstrate a passion for customer service and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement process efficiencies and ongoing evaluation of all credit processes and systems
- In conjunction with the Risk department and Compliance department, ensure that the compliance and regulatory requirements are being adhered to fully.
- Supporting debt recovery and preparing delinquency reports.
- Ensuring compliance with all operational policies, procedures, and Health & Safety regulations.
- Identifying new service opportunities and contributing to continuous improvement.
- Acting as a Operations officer and/or teller when required.

The Ideal Candidate:
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- At least 3–5 years’ experience in a senior operational, finance, or management role—ideally in a financial services or credit union environment.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, reporting, and IT systems.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise, coach, and develop teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
