About the role
As a Personal Lending Approval Officer, you will possess a curious mindset and an excellent attention to detail focus, to ensure that loan applications are reviewed and assessed in a timely manner with absolute accuracy. Your responsibilities include, assessing loan applications and making sound lending decisions, based on the documentation provided and compliance with Policy and legislative requirements. We are a highly successful, values-based, customer-owned credit union seeking to recruit customer-service champions who share our values of superior service, honesty, integrity and financial prudence.
We know that work/life balance is important, so this is a full-time position with stable hours of Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm.
You will effectively manage, monitor and prioritise your lending workflow to meet agreed service standards for our Members and demonstrate sound judgement and financial acumen to approve Loans within your Delegated Lending Authority (DLA), contributing to the objectives and goals of the team.
We are looking for:
A background in the banking industry, specifically in a Lending related role and ideally with experience with the assessment of Personal Loans and/or Home Loans
Administration and Customer Service experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level of attention to detail
NCCPA Accreditation (desirable)
Computer literacy and familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite
