TaxAssist Accountants are the largest network of accountants, currently working from over 300 locations throughout the UK. We are a Times top 25 accountancy company which is owned by the franchisees and managers.

We focus our accountancy skills specifically on small business and individual taxpayers to over 80,000 clients. We specialise in providing accountancy services, tax returns, payroll, bookkeeping, tax savings, and tax advice to our clients – Sole Traders, Partnerships, Limited Companies and Personal Taxpayers. We have established processes in place, along with access to excellent ongoing training and technical support in all aspects of the role. We focus on utilising technology and enjoy using cutting edge apps and cloud-based software to better service our clients.

We are looking for a full-time Administrator to join our expanding accountancy practice located in Bourton on the Water. Our work is varied and interesting and we provide a friendly, flexible, and proactive all year-round service to small businesses and individuals in the local area.

THE ROLE

  • Answer all telephone calls and reception enquiries in a timely, courteous and efficient manner
  • Communicate in writing and verbally with clients in both response to requests and initiating requests for information and meeting arrangements
  • Manage, organise and update relevant data using database applications
  • Document management, both physical and digital (Filing, Scanning, recording etc)
  • Clerical processes for Client appointment lifecycle (Terms of Engagement, Onboarding, Review, Closure)
  • Bookkeeping support
  • Ad-hoc administration duties in support of development projects

IDEAL CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience of undertaking administrative task within an office environment (1 year plus)
  • Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft products and Bookkeeping Software, QuickBooks & Dext, would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work to deadlines
  • An interest in the Accountancy / Tax sector would be advantageous
  • Flexible and accommodating of changing needs of the business

You must have a “can do” attitude and be able to work independently with appropriate support. You should be proactive, with a problem-solving attitude. You will be confident in engaging with clients to build a rapport and offer solutions and direction.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

  • Full Time Salary £23,810 to £25,000 depending on experience
