We focus our accountancy skills specifically on small business and individual taxpayers to over 80,000 clients. We specialise in providing accountancy services, tax returns, payroll, bookkeeping, tax savings, and tax advice to our clients – Sole Traders, Partnerships, Limited Companies and Personal Taxpayers. We have established processes in place, along with access to excellent ongoing training and technical support in all aspects of the role. We focus on utilising technology and enjoy using cutting edge apps and cloud-based software to better service our clients.

We are looking for a Admin Assistant to join our expanding accountancy practice located in Southampton. Our work is varied and interesting and we provide a friendly, flexible, and proactive all year-round service to small businesses and individuals in the local area.


The key duties of this role are as follows:

• Manage and organize office operations

• deal with questions on the phone/ by email

• greet visitors at reception.

• set up meetings.

• update computer records.

• Data entry


  • Organization: Managing tasks, schedules, and information.
  • Communication: Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Time Management: Prioritizing and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in computer programs, particularly Microsoft Word or Google Docs
  • Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant, Virtual Assistant or Office Admin Assistant
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
  • Data entry skills and knowledge of databases and spreadsheets, including Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • Financial Tasks: Basic understanding of financial processes, including invoicing and book-keeping.
  • Customer Service: Experience dealing with customer inquiries and complaints in person and/or through digital channels.

You must have a “can do” attitude and be able to work independently with appropriate support. You should be proactive, with a problem-solving attitude. You will be confident in engaging with clients to build a rapport and offer solutions and direction.
