Blackpool Credit Union Ltd are inviting applications for a number of vacancies including a 9-month full time maternity cover and a fulltime/part time permanent role. The successful candidate will report to the Manager and will be responsible for carrying out a range of duties that contribute to the effective operation of the credit union, in line with its policies and procedures. Their primary function will be as one of our counter tellers.
Salary:                  Competitive based on experience and qualifications.

Principle Responsibilities include:
  • Provide quality service to members at the counter, handling their account transactions
  • Accurately & diligently handle cash and card payments, foreign exchange and reconciling balances each day
  • Handling member account queries and processing new member applications at the counter, over the phone & online
  • Taking in new loan applications & associated documentation
  • Drawdown of member loans
  • Ensure member records are kept up to date
  • Ensure compliance with AML and other legislative requirements
  • Complete other duties as required by Management
The ideal candidate should have:
  • Excellent organisational, communication & interpersonal skills
  • APA or QFA in loans or other recognised qualification is preferable but not essential. The Credit Union will provide support for a candidate to obtain this qualification, if not currently held.
  • Proven track record in delivering customer service at the highest level
  • Excellent IT and administration skills and strong attention to detail
  • Experience in handling cash & dealing with the public
  • Experience working in a credit union or financial services environment would be a distinct advantage
