Blarney Credit Union Limited is a growing credit union serving over 9,700 members, with offices in Blarney and Donoughmore.  An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Member Services Officer / Loans officer to join our team.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this position will play a key role in the continued enhancement, development, and delivery of the credit union’s lending services.
 
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing financial assistance to our valued members while delivering high-quality member care.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE.
  • Assess and approve loan applications including personal, business and Agri loans.
  • Prepare and present complex loan applications.
  • Undertake a wide range of administrative duties associated with the operation of the lending function.
  • Contribute to the development of the credit union’s loan products and offerings.
  • Actively participate in the management of lending risk and exposures.
  • Design and implement strategies to ensure the achievement of growth objectives.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of credit union products and services, members needs and competitor offerings.
  • Develop policies and procedures in relation to the provision of new and existing services.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
  • Must satisfy the Minimum Competency Requirements of the Central Bank’s Minimum Competency Code.
  • A relevant professional qualification in financial services.
  • A minimum of three years’ relevant lending experience.
  • Strong underwriting skills.
  • Excellent IT, communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Strong report writing and administrative skills.
  • Experience of business and Agri lending would be an advantage.
  • Full drivers’ licence
