The role

To ensure delivery of payroll services to agreed service levels

To manage and process client payrolls, including onboarding and processing using Brightpay Payroll software.

Ensure statutory payroll and pension weekly, monthly and annual returns are prepared and submitted in a timely manner.

Ensure statutory compliance on all pay related practices and guidance given directly to clients.

To keep abreast of all statutory legislation.

To maintain Payroll Bureau Procedures in general and for each client.

To manage day-to-day pay related enquiries including pay, pension and national insurance.

To assist and support the team as reasonably required with accountancy tasks, bank reconciliations, VAT Returns and general administration tasks including compliance and regulatory tasks.

The Candidate

You must be able to work independently with initial appropriate support. You will be confident in engaging with clients to build a rapport and offer solutions and direction.

Qualifications and Experience

• Recent experience working in payroll services, including auto-enrolment in a practice environment required

• Excellent time management and workload prioritisation skills

• Excellent phone and verbal communications and active listening skills, internally and externally

• Excellent attention to detail and highly organised

• Ability to work under own initiative working both independently and within a team

• Minimum AAT Level 3 or above

• QuickBooks experience preferred
