CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To facilitate the implementation, maintenance and remediation of audit findings related to IT systems and resources (ie. hardware, software, networking and communications) to mitigate risks and strengthen controls.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
• Implementation of Audit & Security Recommendations.
• Creating, managing, administering user/computer accounts, groups and policies within Active
Directory services.
• Implementation, administration and maintenance – both Physical and Virtual servers at a
hardware and software level.
• Licensing Administration and Maintenance in respect of Network Systems and Resources.
• Installation and configuration of business applications and specialised software on Servers and
Desktops.
• Installation and configuration of standard applications / software from time-to-time on both
Servers and Desktops.
• Monitoring of Server Hardware & Software (virtual & physical) resources on a regular basis to
ensure optimal performance and functionality.
• Disaster Recovery
• Backups
• Internal Network Security
• Network Environment
• End-User Support
QUALIFICATIONS
• An Information Technology Diploma / Degree
• MCSE/MCSA or equivalent qualifications
• VMware or similar Virtualised Technology Certification
• Microsoft SQL Administration would be advantageous
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) qualifications would be recommended.
• Cybersecurity certifications preferred.
• Cloud certifications would be advantageous
EXPERIENCE
• A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a Network Engineering & Administration role within a
Banking, Audit or similar Corporate environment.
