About the role

This is a hands-on position and will include managing a growing portfolio of clients, overseeing the progress and quality of work of fellow team members and resolving challenges that arise. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, from corporate and personal tax returns to advising clients face-to-face, over the phone, and via email. You will also handle account preparations for limited companies, and sole traders, capital gains tax returns, online disclosures and Companies House submissions

Your essential duties and responsibilities:

• Liaising with clients face to face • Being commercially aware and looking for opportunities

• Manage Junior members of the team

• VAT return review and preparation taking on MTD aspects

• Limited company accounts preparation and CT600’s reviews.

• Sole trader, partnership, Rental accounts – Personal tax returns preparation

• Company secretarial processes

• Meeting Managing Deadlines

• Property Service Charge Accounts an advantage.

• Full UK Driving license essential as travel between offices will be required

Experience

• Previous experience within a small Accountancy Practice is essential (Min 5 years)

• Qualified ACCA/ICAEW Or qualified by experience (Minimun 5 years practice experience).

• Software – TaxCalc, QuickBooks, Xero, Dext, Brightpay and strong Excel skills required

• Dealing with HMRC • Payroll & CIS awareness and knowledge to assist other team members as needed
