Banks and Insurance Jobs is looking for a Corporate Development Manager to join our client’s team!

Note: This position offers flexibility to be based remotely from anywhere within Germany for the right candidate, but will require some travel to our headquarter location in Karlsruhe.

What you can expect

Strategic planning: Support the commercial analysis of strategic growth initiatives and build business cases by partnering with sales, marketing, product, portfolio management, operations, and finance (eg. strategic big bets, geographic expansion)
Develop and update long-term strategy: Contribute to shaping our overall strategic direction over a 5+ year horizon
Project Management: Drive cross-functional, high impact projects
Market and Competitive Intelligence: Conduct strategic market research and track competitive landscapes to identify opportunities and risks
Partnerships and M&A: Help evaluate, and execute partnership and M&A opportunities aligned with our strategic goals as well as support post deal implementation
Optimization of organizational structures: Support continuous review of organizational structures to foster scalability and growth
Executive Materials & Investor Relations: Prepare materials for the Board of Director meetings and executive team

What sets you apart

Very good command of German and English language. Fluency in English and German should be on C1 level or higher
2+ years of experience in a role within corporate development, management consulting, investment banking or investing (or similar analytical and strategic role)
Curiosity towards marketplace business models
Structured, solution-orientated way of working, taking on full ownership of key projects
Strong analytical skills, confident handling of commercial data to derive strategic recommendations
Proficient using Microsoft’s suite (in particular PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
